Earth Circling

Description

A space was held to be heard and to listen to all that was alive in each person’s connection to Mother Earth.

We gathered at the creative arts space Decentered SF for a night devoted to all things Earth, joined by special guest and nature photographer Jackson Karlenzig.

What was Earth Circling?

Earth Circles were spaces to be heard and to listen to all that was alive in one’s connection to Mother Earth. Joy, grief, and everything in between were welcomed-each person coming exactly as they were in that moment on Earth. The circle was held in The Ojai Foundation’s practice of Council, rooted in Indigenous ways of coming together. We sat in circle, and each person had the opportunity to share their experiences as they wished. The facilitator prompted the group with questions and reflections in a space that invited whatever was present to be voiced.

Guests arrived by 7PM, many bringing pillows, blankets, and notebooks to settle in comfortably.
