Angelica La Marca
Angelica La Marca is a surrealist writer born and raised in the Bay Area. In 2023, she was awarded the Best Creative Writing Senior Prize of her graduating class at UC Santa Cruz. Entitled "Dog Sounds", Angelica's thesis sought to explore themes of gendered violence using the imagery of dogs as a rich conduit for expressing the visceral — teeth, spit, and all. She now works as a library clerk. When she's not working or writing, you can find her taking long walks around the city, attempting to befriend every street cat she sees.
