Barbara Handler

After some 40 years of teaching middle school in private schools in New York, Boston, and the San Francisco Bay area, Barbara finally retired and suddenly found herself with much time on her hands. So in addition to her usual taking of dance classes, reading, doing oil pastels, and fretting about the state of the world, she joined a couple of writing groups and began writing poetry, short memoir pieces, and stories. For better or for worse, here is a sampling of her efforts.
