Carl Weiner

Carl Wiener has lived in San Francisco for over 50 years. His writing is the outgrowth of his journals, which are an adaptive mechanism that help him adjust to the exigencies of living—in this city and in the world. He was keeping journals as a private endeavor, and then realized that language is by its nature a communicative medium, meant to be shared rather than kept to oneself.
