May-Li Khoe

May-Li Khoe (she/they) is an interdisciplinary artist, designer, and writer, born in the Netherlands to Chinese-Indonesian immigrant parents and raised in Vancouver, Canada. In the past, she co-invented now-ubiquitous new ways for people and computers to interact. She’s currently earning an MFA at San Francisco State University. Her work has been published in The Ana, Umber Magazine, 14 Hills, The HTML Review; once, it was recommended by The New Yorker Recommends weekly newsletter. When she’s not writing or drawing, you might find her in a split halfway up a pole, performing live music at a festival, or designing something mischievous.
