Poolside Poets January 2024

Description

On an evening the Phoenix Hotel hosted Poolside Poets.

Guests came dressed in their best "Power Shift"

Think: sharp shoulders and silk slips, oversized blazers with pearls, big hair and minimalist makeup, tailored suits over satin, corsets under boxy coats, power ties with floral dresses, structured shoulders with soft cashmere, combat boots under chiffon, metallic blazers with cozy knits, judge’s-robe capes reworked as evening wear, red lipstick with gentle pastels, armor-like metallics paired with lace, tie-front shirts with prairie skirts, padded shoulders and soft scarves, militant coats with silk slips, statement brooches on leather jackets — mix & match: tweed, velvet, silk, leather, metallics, knit, lace, whatever summoned strength and softness together
