Description
On a lively Tuesday evening, Decentered Arts and the SOMA West Community Benefit District welcomed the community back for a new chapter of SOMA SINGS, transforming the studio into a stage for creativity in all its forms.
Performers signed up throughout the night, each stepping forward for a few minutes to share music, comedy, poetry, short films, and delightfully unexpected acts. With instruments, microphones, and a projector ready to support every idea, the evening embraced experimentation as much as performance.
The featured guest, Betsy Alma Ramazzini, brought her signature blend of comedy, poetry, and heartfelt storytelling to the stage. Drawing on more than a decade of performing, her work balanced sharp humor with empathy, reminding the audience that vulnerability and laughter often belong together.
As voices, songs, and stories filled the room, SOMA SINGS once again celebrated the creative spirit of the neighborhood—offering an open invitation for artists of every discipline to be seen, heard, and encouraged by their community.
