Nikolas Larson

Nikolas Larson is a San Francisco based artist working in the mediums of chalk, ink and paint. Known on a community level for colorful chalk murals in the mission district made under the name "chalkvisions", his work lies at the intersection of art nouveau, geometry and mythology. Larson draws from mysticism, futurism and fashion in paintings, drawings and murals. Educated in the crafts of drawing and painting, he went on to graduate with a degree in graphic design from the Art Institute of Seattle. A wide range of disciplines inform his worldview: photography, literature, science fiction and comics. You can find an archive of his chalk designs at his blog, chalkvisions on blogspot.
